Starforce was removed from the game!

Today 1-st of April Ubisoft announced the game Heroes of Might and Magic 5 will not have starforce as a protection system.
This has been stated on www.ubi.com (http://www.ubi.com) . No response from sf on this decision has come.

There are many people, including me, who simply won't be buying homm5 because of starforce, this is just ridiculous.

Maybe he works for StarForce?

If StarForce is on HOMM 5 or a future Might and Magic 10, then I simply won't buy the game. I won't bootleg it either as I'm opposed to piracy.

I'll simply do without, which is sad, because the two series that meant alot to me over the past decade or so were Might and Magic and The Elder Scrolls.

I'll just have to do without HOMM 5 and any genuine Might and Magic 10 that arrives. Unless they do an X2 and remove StarForce from a later edition, I will never buy it.

Ubisoft is losing a sale to a regular HOMM customer (they lost me with Dark Messiah anyways because I don't want a "Half Life Too") and I'll lose out as well. That's just the way it goes when Russian pirates call the shots with malware that is alleged copy protection.

Why can't they use Safedisc? I'd rather buy a second HOMM 5 and use one when playing the game while keeping the other as backup?
