View your kills on Google Maps!

Head over to the Ubisoft UK website and sign into the Captain's Log feature (as usual, the US website is broken) to be able to see your career kills listed on Google Maps!

Log into the Captain's Log at: http://silent-hunter.uk.ubi.co...aderboard.php?stat=0 (http://silent-hunter.uk.ubi.com/silent-hunter-5/leaderboard.php?stat=0), look up your username then click the "View on Google-Map" icon. This actually works for any username too.

From Google Maps you'll have an overview of where each of your kills took place:

Fascinating. But in my case, it's missing my Happy Time missions. I wonder why?

You need to click the little @ icon at the bottom of your Captain's Log screen to upload your results to the website.

Yes, I did that. It only has my first 7 missions up through 15 December 1940. I just started mission 13 - it's around February 1941 - so that means I'm missing 5 full missions and the beginning of a 6th.

It turns out that viewing missions does work. There is a delay in displaying mission information. I checked again last night and up to "mission 9" was displayed. However, the number didn't correspond to the actual mission. It should have been mission 12, since the record ended 15 Jan 41.

One other odd quirk was that I could no longer select the arrow and display the mission information on the log page. Don't know what to make of that.

Bug with Firefox I think, since it works in IE. Silly Ubisoft.

I use I.E. However, now it works. I just examined Patrol #8. Here's a relevant excerpt:

I wanted to make another attempt on this convoy but stumbled on another. I stalked it for several hours and discovered that one of the escorts was a BB.

See above. There seems to be a lag in the display relative to the in-game time. Also, the patrol divisions don't correspond to actual patrols. However, eventually everything does seem to get posted.

Note. When you complete a campaign, the very last patrol doesn't register. This is an in-game feature. Thus in TOTAL GERMANY, I was on the final, Norwegian mission. I sank a couple of ships for credit, returned to port, went back and sank the BB + 2 escorts. The BB and 2 escorts didn't count - the game immediately went from early April to the beginning of HAPPY TIME.

The kills on the map seem to be loading horribly slowly, if at all.
