Hi everybody,

I'm running Myst 4 on an Win XP Pro SP1 system, with GForce 450, and Creative SoundBlaster Audigy Platinum (both with the latest drivers).

I can install and run the game, but I get no sound at all... not even for the beggining Cyan logo movie. When I start a game, everything works fine but the sound (not even a peep, no music, no sfx).

I have a full install on the default drive and location.

Of course I've tested speaker volume, mixer settings, etc, but so far I haven't found what might be wrong.

Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like oncompatible sound drivers.

Well, in fact, I found out what was going wrong.
I just turned the sound accelleration down a notch, and everything ran fine. Seems that Myst 4 was having problems handling full sound accelleration.

Great to hear. Interesting that your SBA had issues with full acceleration -- albeit I've had issues with SoundBlaster of all sorts in the past (yet one more reason I will never buy another Creative card).
