Will it require, like in Crysis, having DX10 to run this game on Very High?

I don't think so, but you will have sharper textures and slightly better post-processing with DX10 enabled combined with better performance.

I wouldn't say this until we see it for ourselves. Crysis still performs better under DX9 than DX10. The Crysis forums are chock-full of people switching to DX9 and getting better performance.

It's german though, but it's an interview with the Tech guys from Ubisoft and they say that VeryHigh is available for DX9 and DX10 but DX10 has quite much better shadows (absolutly soft even with movement) and better looking water.
Performance will also be slightly better
