if you re-read what you wrote, (unless you are being funny), your idea of being a double agent is to have no hair...

Goofy name for a double agent. He looks like the kind of person you wouldn't want to meet alone in a dark alley though. I wonder if this content being released is the content from the L.E edition.
In the video sam grabs a guy from the corner then puts him in a choke hold. Why in the world is he tapping the guy on the head??? Is Sam telling the guy,"Hellooo, McFly! Anyone home"?

He was hot. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
Too bad he's married. =( All the good ones are always married.
Anyway, that's intersting tho to know there is someone like that behind the scenes.
Now it's gonna make the next 14 days that much harder to get through...=(

Call me a skeptic, but Im not sure anyone who does or did undercover work would be advising on a video-game. What exactly did that video tell us? That this game needs realism. Thats it. He didnt say how anything does or should work. He simply stated the importance of realism. Like, wearing NVGs in the daytime while on a cruise ship. Or not being seen at all while on said crusie-ship in the day time...
Anyways, Im not knocking the game, Im just not buying anything buddy said, especially his opinions on the realism of this game.

I have to agree with Spector_1075. I don't think the Government is going to allow a clandestine agent to talk about sensitive issues, let alone appear in an interview. If the guy is military, maybe Delta most likely Ranger or Marine.

Incorrect, the person is an advisor for weapons and tactics in the game, alot of games do now. For example GRAW had technical advice from Serallen who is ex Army along with HatchetForce who is ex spec ops, the game Rainbow Six the original had a ton of Technical advice from guys who had served. And the biggest of all the game called "The Regiment" has an Ex SAS operator advising for that game, he also appears in interviews.
They are allowed to talk on camera there seems to be some misconception they can't, what they aren't allowed to talk about is operations they have been on those are classified, so yeah you won't hear him say I went to the amazon on a mission to kill a few drug lords, but he can say from my experience we used this technique on the field and this isn't right thats advice it doesn't compromise anything.

I thought the video was funny, there are no Sams Fishers in the real world, it just doesn't work that way. The guy is almost making it sound like things were like that to some extent but I gaurantee things were no where near as glamorous as he makes them out to be...but then again he's part of the Ubi sales team now so he has to make things sound ott.
Oh and he sounds like a bullsh*ter to me anyway.

What on earth are you on about? He is an ex-Navy Seal do you know what Navy Seals do? Do you know the stealth involved in that line of work? No? Maybe you need to watch this Video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=wQslBXdgp24) just how dedictaed they are just as snipers, taking days using stealth to reach their target to either give back intel or take the target out.
You have SF operatives who work for Redstorm/ubi such as Hatchet Force ex Spec-ops and Christian Allen ex National Guard etc.. They served their time in the Army. You have John Macaleese ex British SAS who worked on a game and did interviews acording to you if they come on camera to explain why "they" as consultants advice ubi on whats realistic and whats not they are apparently fake. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif Yet do a background check on them.
I think maybe you should do some research on what Navy Seals do before you spout they don't do anything like Fisher, when they do "similar" but not as 1 man choking and stabbing getting intel but as a team of individuals they are competent at stealth and assault if compromised. My British SAS who's motto is Who Dares Wins does alot of stealth, might want to watch some documentaries on youtube! they're free and you will learn something about Navy Seals.

I dont question anything he has done in real life. I question his assertions about the level of realism in Splinter Cell. He is clearly ambiguous in that anyone can form any opinion. "Ive worked for government agencies" that could mean anything! The guy is getting paid to sound cool, nothing more, and anything he did and did not do in real life is irrelevant to this game.
To point to real life only demonstrates what I was saying. As soon as you point to real life when comparing it to Splinter Cell, the inevitable replies are "its only a game." And that is true. So for anyone to think that this guy's 'advising' has made Splinter Cell realistic is laughable. I'd like our friend to demonstrate how to cut through a fence with a combat knife. (And explain why he forgot wire-cutters.) Again, I am not bashing this game, but I question what this guy is saying.
