Ok, how do you race down a carrier going 20 knots with three destroyer escorts. You can not surface to go faster because the destroyers will....well destroy you...so how do you track down the carrier and sink it. I mean, how do you catch up to it when it is going more then twice your speed!!

Come on guys! How do you track down a ship going so much faster then your sub?

You dont, thats the challenge of getting warships. You have only one chance so fire everything you have at it in a spread and cross your fingers and toes. If you hit it and slow it maybe you can follow and sink it.
Thats the reason so few warships were sunk in the main!

Well, you dont! thats the whole idea why its going so fast :P
All you can really hope to do is pray your in front of it and lay an ambush, if it passes you and is going faster then you can get then sorry but you've lost your chance :/

I found after numerous tries to quit being so clever. Go to flank at 0'.The escorts are over confident. Even if detected you can get four shots off and four hits. Amazing how fast a carrier goes down.I attempted to get ahead at an angle of as much as 20'at flank but by that time the angle of the carrier was so great I could only bounce torpedoes off the hull.
