Okay, so this will sound ridiculous, and won't earn me any friends but... help - Uru is running too fast.

Seriously, it was running fine, and I would go about at a sensible speed (though walking did get a little annoyingly slow). Then yesterday I tried turning the screen resolution and quality right UP, and suddenly I was running around like a total madman, faster than I can cope with.

I /think/ it's probably dropped the frame rate, but I'm not sure if it's just that I'm whizzing around that I keep end up falling off cliffs into lava, or that it's jerking. And turning the resolution back DOWN doesn't make it go slowly again (yes, I know it should make it even faster).

Anyone got any ideas? Or just tell me that I've gone insane, the game was always that fast, or, er, that I've started perceiving time at more than 1 second per second!

Athlon XP 2400+, 512 DDR, nforce2 Ultra 400, Radeon 9600 128MB....

You don't have it locked in Run position (Caps LOck) do you?

Nope - I thought of that one. Running is just hilarious. Walking almost bearable!

Interesting problem..

Try upping a handful of your other settings and see if that fixes it?

Sounds like your system is dropping frames left and right in order to make things "better" of sorts.

It certainly sounds like major frame-skipping. I'd play with each individual graphic setting, and try installing the absolute latest drivers for your video card.
