co-op 360?

Hi I know this has been talked about alot and everytime I research on the net I get a diff answer. So could someone just tell me weather there will or wont be an xbox live compatable co-op mode for the 360? Lots of people seem to think not...but then I looked here http://www.ubi.com/UK/Games/Info.aspx?pId=4246 and it clearly says co-op is available on XBL?

There will not be co-op on the 360. On current-gen there will be, but not on x-box live.

Im not sure, but on 1up.com's preview, thats what it said.

Yeah your right and 1up.com is pretty reliable.... In the SP4 FAQ it says that 360 will have co-op but doesnt say anything about it being compatable with xbl...whereas with the xbox it says that it is compatable with XBL http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I don't know what's more disappointing, the fact that the 360 won't have co-op or that there's a slim chance we could get it as a content download/update several months later for an extravagant sum of money.

From what i understand, and this may not be right, but from what i've gathered, you can play online with 2 other people as spies in the Spy versus Merc maps against A.I. controlled mercs, and thats what they're considering coop for the 360 version. i don't know how accurate this assumption is, but on Ubi's official listing for the game it says

"Xbox 360 extras: Two additional alternate single-player missions, nine all-new merged versus and co-op maps, and new underwater and sandstorm combat"

to me, this sounds like what i said, they don't say it all, but in the other interviews/ previews i've read, they say you can have merc 'bots' in multiplayer and so i think this is what the 360 version's 'coop' is...
