The biggest problem with playing multiplayer games with SH3 is the fact that there is no chat lobby or even a list of players logged on.
What I'm suggesting is that either UBI or a dedicated member of the game with some sort of stable server, hosts a simple IRC channel where people log in whenever they are online and playing the muliplayer portion of SH3, effectively providing the multiplayer community with a chat lobby.
This solution is simple and since the channel is public it doesn't require knowing the players before hand.
The only downsides are that you would need to run the IRC program in the background and alt-tab to access it if you've launched SH3, but from alt-tab experience the program is stable enough to handle it.
Any takers?
