This is nothing new. This has been done before, with a successful maiden flight in 1976. There was a lot of hype and media coverage hoopla about it, so I'm surprised you didn't mention it. Here is the footage of the flight.

Interesting...didn't know about this one. Does look like a giant...posterior floating through the sky. I've read that some speculate that fuel prices may force many back to using these as air transport. Not quite as fast but could be more luxurious like a cruise liner.

I gotta say that aircraft does make me laugh. I suppose if they become popular, they`ll get a nickname, like Bum, or Botty...
