I've always loved poison in how there's no animation, and you're immediately free to fight/flight, or kill the next if Assassinate. In Assassinate especially, I ALWAYS rock RR poison, but never care about the points, it's just easier to stay alive. Tl;Dr More discreet, not locked in animation. Want more.

How about something like 'piano wire'? Saw it in a film once, you have it in a loop, get it around a neck and tighten, and it will stay tight suffocating the unlucky bastard.

Now, I can accept it having a couple of seconds risk of getting intercepted, and shorter than usual kill range, like poison. But instead of tons of points, there could be a shorter cooldown, allowing for more use and quick stealthy kills. You can (and will) debate all night about the right balance of points/cooldown/range/seconds before effect, but the essence in it will always be that lack of animation is your greatest reward for the risk you take in using this.

Yay? Nay?

They're already making kill animations shorter on stealth kills. Should make the idea mostly obsolete... Or only useful in chases.

Also, you spelt "suffocating" very wrong.

Lol, damn you autocorrect. I edited it, so you two will look like youre on acid http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Yeah Oblivion, I know about the reward. But Im guessing it will work both ways from the animation we have, so that a discreet might take longer than the animation we have, while incog will be shorter. There will still be an animation, though. But you might be right, and if so then obviously this is redundant. However, until we know for sure, I wouldnt mind a dev sniffing on this.

We can do nothing but kill time until ACR, Im just providing some ammo.

It's all in good fun (at least that's how I was taking it).

But anyway, I think we need to wait and see how kills work in ACR before looking at an ability like this. I'd have liked something similar in ACB, but depending how big a difference the kill animation changes make, it might not be so good for Revelations - as I said, may become a runner tool instead of something to help stealthy players.

Yeah, no worries, Archo. I did deserve the nudge and would have done the same to Oblivion. If he ever were to make a grammatical mistake http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I understand the wait-and-see, but for one, by ACR it will already be too late, unless it will be something to consider for AC3 MP. Second, I want to debate it none the less, I mean the reverse stealth-meter have been discussed to death way before any waiting and seeing. Newbs with no experience in ACB playing ACR isnt representative for 'seeing'.

Now, if a runner chooses to use an ability slot for this, let him. Hell still get crappy discreet kills, and we have ways of dealing with these guys other than waiting for them to be trapped in an animation. I think.

I just... Im REALLY sick of having to choose between getting my kill and getting rid of my pursuer every time both are in LoS. In short, I wanna have my cake and eat it too, but I dont need the icing with big scores, as long as I can better tactically protect my streaks.
