You will have to setup a network on both computers.

Are you using a router or a switch??

Are you hosting through the LAN interface or the internet interface?

Your router should auto assign IP addresses!

Make sure you have file and print sharing installed and checked!

Second option!
Try setting up your network manually:

Make sure the workgroup name on both computers is the exactly the same.
The other names don't matter.

Make sure file and print sharing is on!

Under Internet Protocal (TCP/IP).
Tic .. Use the following address.
Manually set IP adresses on both computers to:
192.168.0.x

The first 3 sets of numbers must be the same.
The last number identifies individual computers.

For instance, set one computer to:
192.168.0.21
The next to:
192.168.0.22

And so on!

Make sure your firewall doesn't have your game blocked.

If this doesn't work, see if you can get a network switch to try!

I don't have a problem hosting LAN with a router or switch!
