Quoted from a BBB complaint ticket and this is part of UBI's response:

Basically, the forums are not considered to be an official form of contact with our company.

How does that make the paid UBI employees on these forums feel? Guess you are not official employees.

Then again, I already knew that as Ubi always have stated that the forums are for the community, especially the technical forums. Ubi has never posted in them unlike other publishers in their forums. Another grand way Ubi shows that they only want your money.

They always try to escape by every possible means.

They have been doing this for years with the so-called support service; forum managers say ''open a ticket with Jason'', and Jason says ''this part of the game is not supported, so create a post in the official forum''.

This is a classic among huge fraudulent corporations.

The next step for Ubisoft is to tell the BBB that all its games are not official. All problems solved in one shot, LOL. /sarcasm

They truly laugh in everyone's face!

Hey Athenian

In terms of official support and assistance with game issues no the forums are not the place to come. Any issues with this or other Ubisoft games should go through support and yes that is the official point of contact for issues. The forums allow the community to help each other in ways that tech support do not/cannot and allow people like myself to see how everyone feels about the games and why and make sure that feedback gets back to who matters.

So.... no they are not the official point of contact for issues but yes they are official forums and we do officially use them to source information from the community.

All of that said however there are problems such as xoops mentions above where we advise members to file a ticket and support send them back to the forums and the circle continues. This isn't a satisfactory situation and is one we're aware of from feedback on the forums.

Ms K,

So then what would you suggest we do? If UBI Support is unwilling to help us and these forums don't really have a purpose at this point, what other options do we have? Or does UBI just expect us to go away and go buy Far Cry 2?

Who's responsibility is it to fix (within reason) Vegas 2, a game that is broken and does not work as advertised? I have tried using the "official" way, through UBI Support, and the "non-official" way, through these forums. Who must I contact and how, because I (along with many others) have tried both methods to get help and yet we are still waiting for even a response much less a patch to fix this broken game. You have no idea how frustrated we are with UBI. This same exact disappearing act by UBI (your employer) happened with Lockdown, Vegas 1 and Vegas 2. That means I have spent $150 on 3 games that never worked properly.

As a consumer I believe you've already done what you can in reporting issues both here and via Tech Support, everyone's feedback has been sent back and we are awaiting news on whether more action can/will be taken to address issues but beyond that there is little we can do. You've done your part in reporting it, now it's down to Ubisoft

Sorry but I have little, if any, faith in UBI at the moment. I think we have waited long enough for at least a response on the critical issues this game still has. It really starts with the dedicated server being bugged, if it were to be fixed and stable I believe alot of the other problems would be minimized.

My biggest problems with Vegas 2 are:

1.) Dedicated Server and not keeping server settings
2.) Players sticking to each other like they have velcro suits on.
3.) Sound - numerous sound bugs (randomly missing sounds, infinite gunfire loop), the inconsistent directional sound and lack of enemy footsteps. I hear my own footsteps as if I am a clydesdale.

The processes for contacting ANYONE of importance in Ubisoft are intentionally redundant just so they don't have to deal with their mistakes.

If you have even submitted a support ticket to Ubisoft, (Jason) you will know how futile that is!!

You receive a generic response with a list of possible solutions including reinstalling the game, etc., etc.!!

In most cases the solutions don't even remotely address the issue that was submitted.

But not to worry .. you will receive another message soon reading "Problem Solved"!
Now wasn't that easy???
Your problem was solved and you didn't even know it!!

Don't waste your time!
Find someone who has had the same problem and found a solution through another gamer!

Of course, if your problem has to do with bugs and glitches in Vegas 2, the problems will never be resolved!!
Ubisoft is finished with this game and has moved on to greener pastures!!

Like I have said before in these forums:
Prove wrong Ubisoft!!!

This is only a "Short Term" solution and one I was doing a lot before until I came to the conclusion that it does not help one bit.

Sure, again, short term it does because it fixed the problem of one consumer (or many) but, in the long run, it hinders the global community because UBI knows they don't need to make the game 100% playable since we (the community) will try to solve the little issues the game have and deal with the big issues in some other way... I present to you Vegas 1 & 2 still unfinished.

My idea behind NOT helping other members was not to hinder that said member with the problem but to create some sort of termoil within UBI so they fix the issues in their finished product because, in the end, that member with a problem would get as upset as we are and try to fight with UBI or not buy another UBI title in the long run... win win situation for us ( the community)... perhaps I was wrong thinking this way?

[firstname].[surname]@ubisoft.com . Probably works for the CEO of Ubisoft too. Maybe he'll listen.

I highly doubt it works. He probably uses a filter rejecting any sender whose email address doesn't finish by @ubisoft.com, @microsoft.com, @sony.com, @massiveincorporated.com, @dodge.com, @axe.com or @imjustanothersharkliarthatwantsnothingbutyourmone yheyyoulittlesucker.com

Ever heard about spoofing... it's just changing one header, Ubi uses itself too (in the dontreply@ubi etc... you really think that address exists?). Just set your Reply-To and From header to the ubi account. No biggie, 4 lines of code.

php
$message="enter your text-based message here";
$header="From: entername <enteremailaddress>\r\nReply-To: entername <enteremailaddress>\r\n";
mail("enteremailaddress", "entersubject", $message, $header);
endphp
