hi i have 4600+ x2 processor 2 x1950xtx graphic cards running in crossfire mode 2gb ddr2 memory & still the game runs very poorly i know now that the game doesnt support dual core processors but it seems to me that all these companys are only making multi core processors these days so why does ubisoft only support single core it seems to be a bit stupid

I have yet to see a single game on PC utilize dual core/multi-core processors. Don't know why you people expected Vegas to be different.
There is a bug (or a few bugs) related to dual-core processors with Vegas that is causing people some problems, but that's hardly the same thing as 'not supporting' them.

I expect it to be different because although the many games out there don't fully utilize Dual Core, they don't penalize you for having it either. I have a SLI 7900 GTX setup and it still runs like ****. The graphics in the game are just substandard and should not run this horribly. I am just very suprised that UBI doesn't realize the huge amount of people running dual cpu's out there. Almost every 1st tier manufacture is focusing on dual core right now. I just think the game was rushed and many issues and options were not completed.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

According to this article, neither Crossfire or SLI are supported.

I have 2 X1900 Crossfire cards that don't run well. Try disabling 1 card when playing.

It's not penalizing you, it's called a bug. They happen.
As for SLI, no idea on that one. Some people report it running perfectly, others say it's lagging worse than if they use a single card.

AFAIK, it runs better with a Dual Core. No penalizing.
SLI/CrossFire support would have to be investigated though.

this game should support dual cores and sli since it is or should be next gen game??? hell even GRAW has sli supported. even though it was a patch but still!! but i running dual core 4400+ and 7900gtx 512 in sli +4gigs of ram. but all i did was increase the min frames rates from 35 to 135, now my fps are preety good now.

Can you please explain this more? Where did you increase the minimum frame rate?

It's in one of the ini files. Most likely kellergame.ini. The actual line is something like:
minimumdesiredframerate = xxx
It's a standard setting in Unreal engine games. usually doesn't have a large effect on things. Don't know why it would have done anything for him.

My dual core AMD X24400+, XFX Geforce 9700 GT OC runs the game great. No real problems. With everything set to medium, I get 30 FPS. With everythign set to low I get 50 FPS

Thats strange... Im running a AMD 4200 x2, 2 gigs of DDR2 800, and a Nvidia 8800 640 meg card. I get 12 - 75 fps problem is... the 12 is when it counts... and thats at absolute GARBAGE settings.
Something is off here...

Something is off here...
Situations like yours are the reason I believe the game has a bug relating to dual cores. A single video card that's very close to the most powerful on the market, double the required RAM and yet still getting lag/slowdowns. There HAS to be something wrong in the way it handles dual core machines. And I'm assuming that you're using the AMD Dual Core Optimizer (just throwing that in to be sure).

do you think that pc owners i have an xbox 360 as well should be getting what is essentially a lower spec version of the game when the graphics cards most of the people on the forum are using are far superior to what the xbox has to offer why dont they do a straight port of the game and have done with it i dont buy this xbox 360 is more powerful than what the pc can offer especially with the price that pc components cost

I think that ^^^ is the biggest run-on sentence I have ever read. There is no way the 360 can match the hardware capabilities of a PC. The software is flawed. Plain and simple.

have you seen the xbox 360 version the graphics on the xbox are far superior no slowdown this is my point why should the pc version be so floored when the xbox essentially a pc in a box is the game everybody was expecting i have no problem with the game because it is very good but very badly programmed for pc
