I really Need Help

Hello,
i just purchased BIA like two days ago. i have installed the game and everything. But when the UBi and gearbox thing loads and it looks like the game should be at the main menu the screen is black. So when i exit the game a message comes up saying "To continue the installation process, please close all running programs.I don't know what this means b/c i cannot find any programs that r actually runnning. And yes i have used Task Manager.
i have spent all night myself and by talking to support analyst to find out what the problem is. HOPEFULLY one of u guys will know.

Wow...messed up.

Uninstall the game. Go into C:Program files> UBI>Brothers in arms

Delete thsoe left over folders. then do a search for Brothers ina rms..if anythign coems up delete that.

Then try reinstalling the game.

what I did for extra insurance is, installed the game, rebooted, installed the patch, rebooted. then ran the game.

you might need to update your graphics card drivers or get NoAdware if im not mistaken some adware actually runs programs or something. If im wrong please let me know.

Another thing might be there are programs in the status bar that are running. Try going to start>run> Type msconfig goto the start up tab and uncheck some things that start up when you turn on your comp.

You are spot on. Some spyware programs will run constantly in the background, which can cause issues. Lavasoft Adaware, Spybot, or MS Antispyware are all pretty good to find them.
