I love the game, but I experimented a bit by compressing to 8 or 16 and watched the Jap destroyers for a while, well!!!I didnt know they had disc brakes in WW11,can turn on a dime!!Stop and reverse at full steam etc, etc.I have noticed a couple of times how the destroyers turn ridiculously sharp at the last minute before a torp hits them. But of course I realise its just a game and cannot be perfect, but it isnt far off perfect...I love it:>http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gifAnother weird thing was I got sunk by a destroyer the other day,and it was a long way away from me as I sank a small tanker. But Hey!!its a game....Im off to take some GRAVOL now as Im feeling a bit sea-sick:>http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

try messing up a TF in bad weather. Carriers like to floor it and occasionaly they or a CL or CA will actualy run over a DD. Sometimes there's an explosion. Other times they roll over so fast they just make a splash and that's the end of'em. Not that you'll ever hear me complain about self sinking enemies..

Another weird thing was I got sunk by a destroyer the other day,and it was a long way away from me as I sank a small tanker. Are you sure it was the DD that got you and not a plane. The Japs can call in air support if there's an airbase or land nearby. If you were submerged, as I suppose, you probably never saw the plane that got you. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
I read a book by a Japanese destroyer captain. In his book he says that his destroyer took approximately 30 minutes to reach top speed, 15 to 20 minutes under combat conditions.

someone should do a mod that updates stock so the american subs can use tactical support, rather than only the germans. Hopefully it's something they will preserve in the jap capaign mod, because it's a cool feature to be able to attack with a allied force.
