Looking for information on what SubRon was stationed where, and when. My aim is simply to give the flotillas in SH4, they're actutal name, rather then the generic one of its location. Midway in particular. I thought it was just a stopover point, but from i want to make sure there wasn't (or was) a SubRon stationed there.

There would be A LOT of research involved with finding the "where and when" of submarine squadrons assigned to a specific location at any point in the war. However, SubPac would be a better (and much narrowed down) entity. I think that you could speak to a "live" historian would you call at the U.S. Naval Institute. Anyhow, in the publications that I own, SUBPAC was based in San Francisco and also at Pearl Harbor, if I recall correctly.

Based on what Roscoe says in Submarine Operations in WWII, the submarine squadrons had numbers. Subron 7 was a training operation in Bermuda, Subron 6 was in San Diego, and Subron 2 was in Manilla is the early part of the war. These are the only ones in the index.

Yeah it is broad. I didnt realize just how broad tell tater uncovered some info on Sub divisions for me. (i didnt realize there were so many, i suppose i should have)

I think its going ot have to boil down to
Asiatic Submarine Force (edit: SUBSOWESPAC)
Pacific Submarine Force (COMSUBPAC)

Im just not sure what to do with Brisbane. It might be that "Brisbane command" the devs used might be the best thing to use.

I found this article while doing a search earlier this evening, Duece. While pursuing it I saw some info on different sub squadrons which might help you out.

Duece, I'll bring in my research I've got at the house into work tomorrow. Its not complete, but I've got some of the SubRons and their locations.

Don't worry about it. Im throwing in the towel on this. After fiddeling around last night ive come to the conclusion that the game UI isnt intuitive enough for what i want.
