View Full Version : Will accurate blind fire hurt R6V2 gameplay?

I wanted to get people's opinions on the improved blind fire accuracy in the upcoming sequel. After watching the new dev interview on Gametrailers, there is a shot where a player behind cover uses blind fire to kill two opponents. The concealed player uses the third person view to aim while using blind fire, killing someone running to the side. This seems cheap and extremely unrealistic. I have a feeling that accurate blind fire could seriously hurt game play. Any thoughts?

If someone blind fires at you from behind a thin wall, you can shoot them through it. It depends how much more accurate blind fire is though, if it's still a clumsy spray of bullets it shouldn't hurt the gameplay.

just what i was thinking. they seemed to have created a balance. now with bullet penetration it can be easy to kill someone behind cover. so if someone is behind something, and they peek out you could easily kill them by just shooting at whatever theyre behind. but to level it out, they can blindfire at you, while it may not be as accurate as poping out, they expose less of themselves. without increasing blindfire, taking cover would almost seem useless, if you want to use the cover, otherwise you would just be using it to see whats around the corner. which would be pretty cheap, although the idea of the current cover system is already cheap, its still fun, just not realistic like many people want.

in one of the more recent viseos you can see a player take cover while blind firing, killing one enemy, then the enemy's teammate shoots him through the wall.

so i think this is one of those things we'll just have to wait and see.
