View Full Version : Effect of bad crew morale in-game?

I've yet to experience a bad crew morale situation. I've had a few sailors shaken after some depth charging, but usually just 1-3 sailors among the entire crew. Or folks who have been wounded. Fairly compartmentalized in my opinion.
I'm thinking one day, I might not be so lucky. Bad morale could become widespread among the crew with a lot of sea between us and home-port. So I'm trying to pre-think this and gauge what exactly low crew morale does in this game.
Any input?

Hello burn daddy,
You're doing fine. If the moral on your sub is good, that means you are doing good.
Want to see the moral go down?
Put the crew on Battle Stations, then forget you had them on Battle Stations long after the battle and then go look at the crew. That was how I first found out about low moral. You will see things slow down on the sub.

Yep, but ton't worry they'll sink your boat. you'll only end up dead in the wather for a fiew houres. After taht thy'll just resume work and continue the battlestations till the next strike. Stand down from battlestations and the crew will return to work immediatly, slowly regaining their morale.

I've actually never had that problem, I don't put crew at battle stations for any longer than necessary.
I'm referring to low morale as a result of being attacked, damaged, having crew wounded or killed, ect. That appears to affect morale. (as it should).

Crew morale?
I'll worry about crew morale when this mutinous bunch of thugs stops stealing my strawberries.
Now where did I put my ball bearings?
