Bug - I cannot see text ingame

I installed the game and I open it, but I don't see any text... all the windows and tabs are without text... and sometimes the movie from the beginning is choppy and laggy. I meet all the requirements to play the game. I have a GeForce FX 5700 LE 256 MB RAM and the latest drivers. What should I do or what might be the problem? Thank you ahead of time for any help.

yes, it's english...and the game setup was english

Try installing a video codec.
Ffd-show for example:

I have the exact same problem.I even installed the video codec and still no result...Help!..Anyone...

Did the game install with no problems?
You have a texts.pak inside your data folder (located in homm5 folder).

It did give me a tiny eroor at the beginning..tried pressing retry but ended up pressing ignore...http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Now that Dienutza said it, I remember getting a message at the installation. I don't remember what it said but by choosing ignore i skiped it and I finished installing it...I'll try reinstalling...

I don't have a text.pak either.

Did U reinstall it?If you did...has the error poped up again?

I reinstalled it again and the error poped up again...Instead of clicking ignore I kept clicking retry untill the installation continued. After it was done I checked if I had a text.pak and it was there. I opened the game and everything was normal , I could play it normally http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
