I just got done getting the planes I do have open in ACE rank, although, I notice some say "Upgraded". how did I do this and how do I proceed to get the rest of my planes 'upgraded'?

When you complete the Ace duel you get a new paintjob, the upgraded part is received when you complete arcade mode in that specific plane.

also the minicampaigns upgrade your planes, but it doesnt show on the board, but make sure you do it, the dogfight mini upgrades all your planes cannons and MGs, the bombing mini makes your rockets and bombs load faster and do more damage.
