Dortenmanns Dora (14./JG26). I€ve seen this plane in many guises, but mostly in profiles by different artist. It is an aircraft that was repainted at least twice and was even reported to have had the top cammo grey replaced by a light green.

True or not, here is a version I liked the look of that I couldn€t find uploaded.

I€ve included a blank.

Looks a bit like this--->

Jesters,

Looks very good, but, the tail looks to be a wrong shade of yellow. Looks a bit too bright.

Could just be me though http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif Overall, it's a beautiful skin, you going to release the template when you're done?

I'm not sure Dortenmann's D-9 still had the yellow tail this late in the war. I know he had it painted in yellow when he was leading 12./JG 54 in October 1944, but III./JG 54 became IV./JG 26 only in late February 1945. By then such a "canary tail" would be pretty much a tantamount ot suicide. All profiles of this Dora in JG26 colours I have seen show it without the yellow tail.
