These ads have been around now for quite some time. How do you feel about them?

Some of them (http://movies.apple.com/media/us/mac/getamac/2009/apple-mvp-elimination-us-20090512_480x272.mov) are pretty dang brilliant, as far as advertising goes.

(Of course, my Mac does crash sometimes. The 'no viruses' part is accurate so far, though.)

They don't bug me. I do think they lost their "thing" awhile ago, so not sure how effective they are. I do like Justin Long though.

lol Dread that was probably my favorite one.

I wouldn't say that one was brilliant. Funny, yes, but nothing brilliant. They keep using the same argument over and over and over and over and over again. It was an obvious comeback to the I'M A PC commercials.

I find some of them interesting, some of them annoying.

And technically, Macs can get viruses and other malware - it may be very uncommon, but it can happen.

I thought they were a creative and fun idea for awhile and enjoyed them. At this point, they've become a little overdone and I'm ready for the next thing.

They kinda get old. kinda makes me mad when they do these commercials saying that all pcs suck blah blah when they cant run any good games or handle many processes itself. Only thing a mac is good for are business and video editing. The reason why they can brag about having no virus'es is because the macs suck and im sure hack0rz wouldnt wanna waste their time.

I thought they were funny at first, but they grew tired pretty quickly. The more and more of them I saw, the more it just seemed insulting to PC users, and made Mac users look like arrogant elitists.

So I guess in that sense, they were pretty accurate. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I'm currently a Mac, and I used to be a PC. I can say for sure that I will be a PC again. I like the mac, but it costs SO much money to do the same thing that a Mac does. Even graphic design and stuff is now viable on a PC. My mac has crashed and there is a virus or two out for Macs now (although you have to use pirated software to get them).

There are two things that are making me go PC again. One is money. I said it before, and I'll say it again. The amount of money needed to buy a Mac can get you one heck of a nice PC. The other thing is the Apple service group. When my mac was messed up and I took it in they told me it wasn't possible, that my Mac couldn't be broken or whatever. They had to hook my computer up to a computer that was connected to another computer just to figure out if I had a problem. Guess what? I did. Then it was all my fault, not the software/hardware...

When Macs work, they are amazing machines. But when they don't it's hard to get them fixed and it is expensive. I want to go be one of the PC people on the commercial who picks out a nice laptop and Microsoft pays for it... I don't care if the Macs look pretty, they're too much out of my price range now for what you get...

I've always felt that companies should promote their products for the various features they offer, rather than attempting to point out the inferiority of the competition.

Showcase what the product can do, and let the marketplace decide what's best.

At first they were entertaining. But now, Justin Long (and/or his character) come off as being really smug and too cool for school. And John Hodgman's representation of a PC is more accurate for PC's a decade ago.

I actually enjoy the Microsoft ad campaign where they show various "real" people that hold a sign that says "I'm a PC".

Or the ones where they send someone into a store to buy a computer for under a certan amount.

I'm a mac and I'm awesome. Don't you want to be awesome like me? I guess being awesome isn't for everyone.
