A duel lobby? Like in single player.. no execution moves until 1 square left. 25 squares. No guns, no crossbows, poisons blah blah blah, just the main weapons.

Using normal combat system?

Not going to happen online.

Offline 2 - 4 player combat would be awesome fun though.

IF they do it right (would work better with AC1's combat system, honestly)

Lolque?

That would be dull. The combat is not very stimulating

The AI doesn't make the combat very stimulating.

With players in control, it would work better.

Seriously.

Yeah, then we can have 'Remove the Kick' and 'Remove Countering' etc. threads for that mode. :P

EVERY game has abilities people think are overpowered.

And like I said, use the AC1 combat system. It's more balanced.

AC2 had no guard-breaks, and ACB's is too fast to be fair against a player.

While I think it would be entertaining initially, I really think any attempt at combat via story mechanics would inevitably boil down to spam attacks that eventually kill you, or people just blocking and countering.

Either way, the combat system in the story is simply not suited for Multiplayer in any of the AC games.

Not to mention you can just one shot someone in a fight if you walk up behind them while they're fighting someone else.

I, personally, wish for a sort of mounted Wanted. Now that would be awesome.

Disagreed.

AC1.

Not 2 or Brotherhood.

Attack from behind is a free hit, NOT kill, unless the opponent sees it coming, pulls the stick toward you and guards/counters.

Counters don't work against a guard-break, but dodging does.

There's balance.

AC1 combat works just fine. And would do so in multiplayer.

BUT ONLY OFFLINE. Not through any system with a possibility of lag.
