Problem with the demo

At the very beginning of the game, you must get over the little wooden bridge. Then, you go into the room, where you have to check the first crate with the weapons. After that I went left, knocked the guard out and checked the other crate. Then I went up again and wanted to continue my game, but when Iâ´m walking on the stairs upwards, the game crashes. I get no error message, it just quits the game.

I have all specs high, 16x AA and 4x AF
My system.
Windows XP prof edition, SP1
AMD Athlon 2000+ XP
above 1 gig of RAM
Sapphire Atlantis Radeon 9800 PRO

The game does run very very smoothly, absoluetly no lag.

So what can I do? Is it a common bug? :/

Hmm, even on my crappy PC specs my game has not crashed once...

P4 3.0GHz W/HTT 800MHz FSB
ATI Radeon 9200
1024MB PC2700 SDRAM

I get almost no lag, my graphics look fine...have you tried re-installing?

reinsalling may be a good idea, although I donâ´t think it will help, because I believe it has something to do with my computer, but I will try.

I have the exact same problem, I enter the stairs and boom, desktop! I also had an error during the install, it finishes, then it say "an internal error occured" I click ok twice and it asks me if I want a shortcut

There could be a corruption in the zip.. but I dont want to download 600 mb again .. sigh.. I've now updated my ATI drivers, and will see if that helps.. if not.. then its back to HL2DM http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

if youâ´re still having the problem, reinstalling did it!
I just deinstalled and installed the game again and it worked. The demo is too short though http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

To the original poster.

You need to turn your settings down. A 9800 PRo is a good card, but people with 6800GT's don't even play with those settings!
