Hi guys,

In all the previous flight sims I played, I am really the mud mover type. So I was a little bit disappointed when I heard that the ground radar would not be implemented in lomac. But do you guys know if we will be able to complete ground strike mission with dumb bomb or other ordinance (like MK-84 for example)?

Don't get me wrong, I can't wait for this sim . just hope that they will add that ground radar in an update pack.

Oh, my word...haven's yes! If the Ol' Hog can do it in Desert Storm, it can do it just as easily in the Crimean(sp). You're gonna love it, you Ol' Mud Mover, you!

You will have the A-10 and Su-25 for mud moving. You can use the gun, dumb bombs, and guided AG missiles. The lack of AG radar only means you have to find the targets visually, or using the Mav's IR video.

After LOMAC, there is a possibility of an F/A-18C addon, which will include the AG radar.

The A-10/SU-25 are what orginally sucked me into LOMAC. Really looking forward to doing some CAS. That's the best Mud moving anyways.

Is there "Laser-Guided" bombs modeled in Lock-On? Is CCIP or CCRP modes modeled in Lomac on the A10 aircraft?

wat about jdams? are there any of em in game?

anyway, imo, the lack of ground radar sucks big time.

i dont wanna shoot a SAM when i can see it on my FLIR, i'd be too busy dodging missiles by then.

do they have a HARM or something to make it easier to shoot at SAMs?

Yes the A10 has both CCIP and CCRP (v1.02) modes, but it can only shoot the Maverick for AGM, not LGB or HARM. Not sure about the SU25.

Sometimes you AI allies flying the RAF Tornado will shoot HARM for you. Some SAMs have short range thereby allowing you to fire a mav and egress before it shoots back, or you try to fly in low and turn off you jammer and pop up for a quick attack, or ask your wingman to take the risk! Sometimes skills and tactics make a difference even if you don't have the best equipment.

Though I usually fly the A10, I've also been reading with interest on the upcoming add-on of the SU-25T. It has a good HUD and lots of weapons. I'm sure many mud movers are dying for its release.
