View Full Version : Will Machinima be supported?

I just watched a movie explaining the Map Maker (which look amazing), however will you be able to use any of these features for Machinima?
Say have a friend in the map maker with you...build your set....drop in characters...and then "film" whatever you want. This looks like it has great potential, but not sure if the user will have the abilities.
Is there any other information on this?

I bet the only machinima you'll be able to do is with live actors. There will likely be no scripted sequences, since they don't allow you to put in AI. I have no idea if there's an in-game video recorder, though.

If you've ever seen Red vs Blue using Halo, that's machinima. Basically using in-game characters to tell your own story.
You don't need AI in order to do machinima. I remember people making machinima using Far Cry Instincts. Since the new editor allows you to put in spectator spawn points, it might actually make it easier, who knows?

You can by using Spectator view and cuting out the controls.
