Hi all,
Just started this excellent campaign. Amazing work on the map and the land battles. I have only played one mission but so far it is looking great. Check out the thread here:
http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/23110283/m...661015224#1661015224 (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/23110283/m/2451054224/r/1661015224#1661015224)

It is in German but it's a self extracting file so no probs to install. The briefings aren't displaying for me, I guess because they are in German. Anyone got any ideas on how to make them display? I was thinking to delete the"_de" suffix from the .PROP files.

Okay - just noticed it seems to hang after mission one, resulting in the need to ctrl+alt+del out of Il-2. Hmm. Have tried a few times so might edit out no.2 and see if that will help.
Anyone got any ideas? It looks so good it'd be a shame to miss it.

I have played it with the same impressions and... problem, so opened the missions in QMT (Quick Mission Tuner), where I found that the Player is not assigned to a plane (I bet NSU linked COOPs).
An English version is coming soon, as NSU himself said at SimHQ Forums.

I installed the fix patch and the campaign evolves normally but I lost the take off option. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif
I opened the missions in FMB and the player's flight first Waypoint is "Takeoff" set at 0 m height, 0 km/h speed, 0 km distance... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif
What's going on? Any ideas? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif

I downloaded the patch and take-offs were as normal(in mission 2). Still no briefings though. Looks really good though. I love the desert setting.

Got the English version and no hang-ups after applying Mission 1. Looks good so far.

Cheers!

You guys noticed some really erratic friendly AI manoeuvring after take off and during flight into target? I lose one to two wingmen just after taking off quite commonly in this campaign. One wingman spends the entire flight rolling from side to side until combat is joined. Can't think why it would happen.

I'm a big fan of the land battles andas eye candy and have had a great time with most of the dogfights, too. Really enjoyable.

I had the same prob. Ran the install thing a couple of times but no trace. Then I restarted, tried again and it worked. Didn't change anything so don't know what was going on.

Thanks for the heads up guys...My only bit of advice to newcomers to this thread is follow the install directions exactly..They aren't particularily difficult but it took my 2 or 3 trys to get things in the right place, and working.By the way the zip downloaded two versions one in English & one in German...I've just tried the first mission & all seems well...I really love the takeoff ...no runway just a group of 109s scattered across the level sand, far more real than the usual desert strips seem in other Med campaigns...The number of aircraft in the first mission really seems to hit my FPS hard tho & I may have to go to 1/2 speed to get things working smoothly in the busier missions...I wish I could say this made me a better shot!
Anyway high praise for this work by the German group...Ausgezechnet!
