I hope they include getting inside houses more. That would be one of my hopes to see. One thing about figting in towns is that it was house to house not street to street. You would not go down a street without clearing the house you went by.

Hey...........if you help out the civilians(and not shoot them in the head http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif), wont they give you info and help and stuff? But if you dont then they might try to stay away or take revenge

Everybody Dies...Normandy, 1944 there were 250,000 German casualties compared to the 30,000 Ally casualties. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
I like the german weapons...Online my favorite weapon was the mp40, because the rate of fire was consistent and around 6, 9mm rounds would drop any foe. That's all! I don't enjoy killing americans...I have my German scenario Campaigns online are 'BLITZKRIEG'& JUGGERNAUT, where I play as the Germans and attack or defending depending on the map on BIA EiB MP.

Another reason not playing as the Germans is a good thing: Why would you want to play on the side that you know is going to lose in the end?
EDIT: We lost this operation, but they lost the war.

Choke_A_Smurf yer rite.Who wants to play with a side that u know will lose the battle.Anyway this thing remebers me bout battlefield 1942,where u had an option to choose axis, and win a battle that historicaly, axis lost it.

Why playing Hell's Highway? The whole operation failed!
...
I don't agree with the opinion that you shouldn't play on the side of the 'loser'.

Haha THAT was pretty funny lol http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif but seriously i think were getting just a little bit off topic guys...i mean i would love clearing houses but clearing EVERY single house would just take to long...but its a good idea over all...plus i would HATE to have all urban type maps...they need half of it like urban areas and half open field/tall grass kind of areas...hmm...looks like im getting a bit off topic too http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif
::edit:: i was playing BIA:30 and i realized that there was like a really small but noticable pause when i fired the garand and the thompson...especially the thompson...any of you guys noticed that or is it just me?

Ok well since Medal of Honor Airborne is making all buildings accesible and Call of Duty 2 even had some levels where u had to clear just buildings i thinks its very possible.anyway i love urban fighting and dont see why they cant have a level where u clear a whole town w/buildinggs includded. of course i want this game to be as long as it can be an hope that there are plenty different area's an maps

Itâ´s a great idea and would be open more possibilities at the time of flank the boches.
Imagine: open the door of a house crossing the house meanwhile a Dutch family had the breakfast, went out to the house and found the Nazis talking each other, and you and your squad interrupt his conversation with a grenade or the good sound of your Thompson. JAJAJAJA will stay very cool.

I remember reading somewhere of U.S troops useing Bazooka rounds to enter buildings from each wall to get on the flanks of attacking troops etc.
Could work pretty well in this game, but being able to get into buildings would be a nice touch.

I LIKE IT
open the door of a house with a M1 rifle grenade .Sweep across the house and find a Dutch family having chocolate spread on toast. Storm out into the yard, to find a german mortar team smoking cigs behind a sheet on washing line. 2nd Squad interrupts their break with a surprise: frag grenade and hail of lead.

JAJAJAJAJA I like your method, bangerlot, but in my view the thompson sounds better than a grenade. Do you saw the film Millerâ´s crossing?, I would like to do(with my thompson)some similar that the massacre that Leo make with his thompson(meanwhile sounds the song of Danny Boy),jajajajajajaja.

Thompson vs. Frag Grenade with a 2 sec delay? I'd go with Thompson too: sounds better and wallpaper looks better when complemented with blood, bone, grissle and brain tissue!

It reminds me the close combat series. I like Close Combat 5: Normandy; & CLose Combat 3: Russian Front. My favorite is Russian Front mainly because of the music. I can also play it on my cellphone! Nah, but I would like too

when the planes stayed in formation and dropped all those sticks, it would be horrible to land in a tree, like 'Red' did in Normandy (BIA2).
It would be nice to see your Major and platoon leader at rally points.
I hope they promote Matt Baker to Lieutenant by the end of this operation, so in Bastogne he can lead the assault on FOY.

the first time that i saw this german i make the same think that you tell in this post.TATATATATATA. and with more fury, when i saw that this german was a spanish of the ****ing 250 division("la divison azul"). Although certain that the majority of his member was adventurs and people that enlist for the money(in Spain there arenâ´t much money after the civil war).

It was very well that promote Matt Baker to Lieutenant as you said, at the endof the market garden, and in the next BiA you can contoller.
A question, in this game you controller baker again, right??, I said that because in the video the voice of main character is the Bakerâ´s voice.

Ok thanks for the information, the certain thing is that the writer had a good idea, I like the BiA2 but maybe i preffer controlled Baker that Red, you donâ´t ask me why, but the fact is that i prefer control Baker, maybe itâ´s by the fact that i felt more identified with Baker than Red.
And in my view I think that BiA 1 is better than BiA 2

WWI would probably be a very boring game. What, though, is the problem with a WWII game from a German soldiers perspective? It would inject new life into a genre that is way overdone. Don't get me wrong, I loved both BiA, bought both CoD, and all the MoH games. But after awhile... things get less exciting, less emotional. After seeing different D-Day scenes in the millions of movies and games that portray it, you get jaded. A German game, with a good story could be amazing. I read a comic by Garth Ennis, in it, a Panzer crew fights from the Eastern Front to the Western so they can surrender to the Americans. I shed a tear at the end of that book. It was so well written, so powerful. A game could acheive that as well. My Grandfather fought for the Germans in the 10th SS. He was killed during the war. I learned from my Grandmother that he was fighting for his country, and for his family. After WWI his family lost all their money, and they had hit rock bottom. "Der Fueher" brought an economic revitalization to Germany, and suddenly his families future was looking up. My Grandmother told me that after learning what happened in the camps, she felt horrible about what she had supported. But she told me that my Grandfather was not fighting for racism, or because he thought Aryans were the master race, he was fighting for his country and his family.
I am 17 years old. I am a WWII reenactor. I put on a German SS uniform, and I participate in recreations of these battles we play on our computers. I do it to keep history alive, I do it to respect my Grandfather and his Kameraden, and I do it because it is fun. I graduate highschool on June 10th. I ship out to Parris Island, SC on June 18th. Do not tell me I am some sick freak becuase I enjoy killing Americans Orezai. My MOS is 0300 and that gives me a 100% guarantee that I will be deployed in Iraq or Afganistan. I am willing to give my life so you can post your somewhat misguided opinions. Just because they fought on the other side doesn't mean that they don't deserve our respect.
