I'm old school, I hate them because, they're in the American League.

I hate them because they're rich.

I hate them because they're successful.

I hate them because they can buy any player in the g**d**n world and not break a sweat.

I hate them because they lord it over my team, the lowly Mets!!

I hate them because.... I love to hate them!!!! I wish and pray daily for their demise. I pray for a giant meteor to smite them for the philitines they are... Oh where oh where are the ancient plagues of old?

Who else is there?

ManU?

Italy?

Dallas Cowboys!!!!

Grrrrrr.... I'm ****ed.

In the UK, I'd suggest possibly Millwall F.C. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millwall_F.C.)

On the terraces their fans all sing No One Likes Us – We Don't Care (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_One_Likes_Us_%E2%80%93_We_Don%27t_Care):

No One Likes Us, No One Likes Us, No One Likes Us – We Don't Care!
We Are Millwall, Super Millwall, We Are Millwall From The Den!
No One Likes Us, No One Likes Us, No One Likes Us – We Don't Care!
We Are Millwall, Super Millwall, We Are Millwall From The Den!

In hockey, well, here in Montreal, the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Whats the difference between a triangle and the Maple Leafs?

The triangle has 3 points.

Maybe some enterprising Mets fan could somehow manage to put a fast acting laxative in the Yankee's locker room water fountain before a game.

It may not be good sportsmanship, but I'm sure that it would make the Mets fan base feel a whole lot better nonetheless. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Maybe baseball history would henceforth nickname the Yankees as the 'Brownshorts Brigade'. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

I don't like the Yankees because they throw money around and expect to waltz through to win the World Series every year. When I was a high schooler in Florida in the 90's, when the Yankees would win the WS pretty frequently, around late September every year suddenly everyone was a Yankees fan and claimed to have been a Yankees fan forever despite not following them or caring about them all summer long. I'm not calling NYY fans bandwagoners, and this happens when any team does well, but still...

I grew up a Detroit Tigers fan and I'll die as one, but I love the NY Yankees history, their business like way of playing baseball and just the aura of the franchise. I don't think it's good for baseball to have two or three teams outspending nearly everyone else year after year though.

I thought it was the Cowboys, or maybe even the Patriots for getting caught cheating. Nobody wanted to play them.

Tough WS this year. I despise the Yankees, and don't think much of the Philies. I would have been much happier with the Angels in there, or the Red Sox.

Ah, 'tis an old rivalry. I have a similar thing here, being a Giants fan I have no choice but to hate the Dodgers. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I'm a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan and I hate them. We do not need to get in the wayback machine to revisit the '70s to try and break the streak for most losses in a row.

At least we have cheerleaders. Goose steppin in London. NOT what Adolph had in mind.

Ed - nice pics btw - As a Buccaneers fan, what are your thoughts on the Glazers?

As a United fan, we (well, a lot of us) hate them with a passion and wish they'd FRO back to where they came from. Saddled our club with $600 million of debt which we have to pay back through our season tickets. Results have been good so far but we feel like we're on the edge of a very high precipice and one slip....

Oh, and in answer to the OP, Man United. NQAT.

The Glazers,..seriously,. I just erased a 500 word rant. I don't like them. They make money, and if something of theirs doesn't make money, they will bust it up and sell it off. I feel bad for the MU ticket holders.

The Bucs are the best team that money won't buy. I trust the Glazers as far as I could throw Raymond James stadium. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

In Boston sports fans favorite hates are:

baseball - Yankees, hands down, largely as a matter of tradition and habit, but fundamentally because Harry Frazee basically sold off the cream of the talent of the then dominant Boston Red Sox baseball team to found the Yankee dynasty.

football - probably the Jets, because of Mangini.

basketball - Lakers.

hockey - Les Habitants (Montreal Canadiens), again as a matter of long and honorable competitive tradition.

The Bruins had a hilarious ad during last year's playoffs about not dating in the same division. Ill try to find a link for it.

I use to like the Yankee's a loooong time ago worf in the Mel Stottlemyre/Roy White/Therman Munson days when they had little money and a assortment of guys that weren't all the best players but had TRUE CHARACTER and won on sheer determination and will to win. To them a division championship was a big thing.

The Yankees are now a bunch of high priced premi donna ******s willing to work for anyone with enough cash to buy their services. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Hockey, the Maple Laffs. It is hilarious listening to TSN, Toronto based, moaning and groaning about the Laffs as if there wasn't any other teams in the NHL.

I wish MLB would take the World Series away from Fox Sports. Besides not really enjoying Joe Buck and Tim McCarvers play by play, I'm sooo tired of the constant Fox self promotion. This year they even managed to wrangle their way into the singing of the National Anthem by the "stars" of Glee the "new hit series" on Fox. What a joke.

I simply quit watching MLB after the Yankees beat my Padres with more than a little help from the umps, especially in that first game...I figure that if a power hitter is making over $3 million a year plus the endorsements he gets from playing in NYC, he doesn't need five strikes.

As long as big city teams like the Yankees can buy the best talent, Major League Baseball has no integrity or competitveness.

Other teams I deeply and truly hate:

1. The Denver Broncos

2. Arizona State (I grew up in Tucson, home of the University of Arizona).

3. UCLA and the Pac-10 officials who have propped them up(see above)

4. The San Antonio Spurs (Suns fan)

5. Any team with a quarterback named Manning

cheers

Well, congratulation to Johnny Damon for winning another ring. The Red Sox should NEVER have let him go.
