Xbox 360 widescreen issues

Ever since I updated my 360 to the fall 2007 update, my Assassin's Creed game plays widescreen, even though my system is set for NORMAL (i.e. widescreen is off). Other games DON'T do this. I'm stuck on a standard TV, so I've been used to playing this thing full screen. The black bars at the top and bottom are a bit annoying right now.

P.S. I can't afford to update to a new TV, so don't suggest that one...

As this is linked to the Xbox360 update you will need to contact microsoft for assistance. Its most likely a settings somewhere has been altered but they should be able to assist http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
