Armored Core is impossible though so I hope that if they do they put in an Easy, Medium, and Hard mode for crappy players like me.

I do however hope that a new one comes out

Seriously UbiSoft. How about you let us know what FromSoftware is doing or maybe nudge them in the right direction of making another one and then try a new strategy. I know this sounds crazy but ADVERTISE. Noone knows about this incredible game, it could easily rival any game out there if people just knew about it, and an MMO version would be a whole new gaming concept. Bam, do it.

Here is a though to ponder-

If a car works fine with four wheels then why add a fifth?

The PS2 era of Armored core was the golden era. Bring that game play back with some updated graphics and new missions- this is all that is required to make this game great again. Stop trying to improve an already great thing; the more you mess with perfection, the more you bastardize it.

What is with all your people claiming how great the old armored cores were compared to the new ones. If you don't like the new ones better then there is only one reason. You are a simplistic gamer who only wants to play easy games that everyone can grasp right away like Call of Duty or Halo. These games have no substance and there are a trillion of them. There is no game like armored core. Sure the old ones were great, but so was my bike until I got a car. Quick boosting and assault armor has quite literally revolutionized the game. It offers a fast past, intense and completely unique game experience. All of you people claiming its too difficult or AC was better in its hay day then it sounds like you should just quite gaming or buy up a nintendo wii, because you need simple games and armored core isn't one of them. Even though the single player is ridiculously easy.

Actually, on the contrary, the new AC games are TOO EASY. I don't feel like I have accomplished something if I can get a double S in less than a month.

Watch your tone kid- I didn't come here to school you.

actually kronos AC2's last mission wasnt simple ITS WAS FCKING COMPLICATED and it was EXTREMELY HARD (thanks to the VERY FINAL BOSS in that level (He was a bit like Arethra exept more awsomer)) and if you think AC3 AC:SL AC:LR and all the other ones (exept Nine breaker) were simple YOU ARE WRONG. AND WE ARE NOT SIMPLISTIC GAMERS EITHER

Hoping this well get seen by a dev but the AC games have been missing something for a long while.Maby u guys can put a MVS in the next 1 if u guys plan on doing a next 1.MVS stands for Mass viberation sword or a sword in general not real picky on it but the close range battles u could have in this game would be awsome atm im using most if not all cqc weapons. But nothing that has really been as fun as a sword would be even if its a hanger weapon not just a brass knuckles type of device. Thanks for reading http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Again, I said the single player is extremely easy. I did not say the old games were easy. Obviously they dumped more depth into the single player games back in the day because thats all they were, there wasn't online (ps2 briefly with last raven) but thats it, they had to make an indepth single player or they didn't have a game. Obviously with 4 and for answer there was more focus on multiplayer, and rightfully so but people whine about how the multiplayer is too hard on 4 and for answer. My point is that it's hard sure, but thats why its great. An FA-22 Raptor is probably really hard to use, but its all by far the best fighter jet around.

I for one can't wait till the new one, and I personally think that the new ones (though easier) are better than the old ones, I think they need to keep the new format but up the difficulty http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/crackwhip.gif

Honestly, the MP in AC4 and FA isn't hard in the sense that it's a fair challenge.

It's hard because the game doesn't hands you a stat sheet that may as well be labelled in another language. It also fails to provide a lot of the numbers that actually matter for weapon selection in a multiplayer game.

So you start out playing with the weapons you grew comfortable using in single player, only to find that they're totally useless in the multiplayer.

Basically, all the best players use one of several almost identical builds. If you can find what those are, you pretty much won't lose against an equally-skilled player who's using a good build for single player.

Another problem a lot of people have with the multiplayer is the fact that From are working on the assumption that everyone is connected by fibre optic cables (because they're in Japan, and in Japan, it IS that way). So they're a little sloppy on their netcode, and when players are on standard ADSL, or even ADSL2+, they often get quite bad lag in spite of the fact that the game shouldn't be that bandwidth-intensive.

As for new vs. old, there are elements of depth to the gameplay of the PS2 AC games that are lacking in the new games. The main things they improved in the new games, which is a big deal, is the pace - the old games felt too slow for the modern idea of giant robots.

BUT, the sense of real speed is the ONLY thing the new games do better. The heat management system for the early AC games was SIGNIFICANTLY better than Primal Armour, and made for more strategic gameplay.

If, in AC5, they can retain the new games' sense of speed, while stabilising their netcode, upgrading the graphics (just a little, enough to at least feel like early current-gen, rather than a mid-range PS2 title), and bring back some elements of the older games which fans keep asking for, they'll have a winner.

Also, having Ubisoft actually advertise, and not do so terribly (did you ever see the voice-over version of the ACFA opening sequence, that was going to be used as a US TV ad? It was horrific)

There are certainly alot of cookie cutter designs of which alot of people use, but I don't consider these people good players. As far as the stat ****, it tells you what almost everything does (press the back button) and as far as balance, almost all weapons are feasible as long as you use them in their given sweet spots. Having said that there are certainly easier ways to play and some weapons that just will not work. The problem is if most people can't use a weapon they give up and call it broken, theres a greater balance to the game then people think. If everyone would just stop back peddling and circle glitching like little girls.
