I didn't find another thread like this. If there's another one, don't mind telling me. In fact, I'll ask for this thread to be closed myself.

Mine is Blacksaw! 30 armor-piercing depleted uranium rounds equals happiness. Plus the chaingun effect is awesome.

Lol, I love the name Donkey Puncher. Here's a link to find the name of Mantel weapons:

http://blogs.ign.com/HazeGame/2007/07/06/59361/

It's a very helpful site, it's helped me assloads. It also shows the different kind of Mantel troopers and what weapons they wield.

Plain ol' rusty knives. No Nectar required. You laugh now, but we'll see who runs out of ammo first.

I may be weird, but I have to say Blacksaw, cause in almost every first person shooter is my most favourite weapon a machine gun or some kind of assault rifle. That's probably because I spent enormous amount of hours by shooting a tommy gun on one shot kill in TS2 and I'm gonna kill myself if it won't be included in TS4.

Give me some pure firepower. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif Flamethrowers are always fun when done right.

@ Rasomaso, sure the tommy was a great weapon, (twin tommies = death!), but my personal fave was probably the six shooter from TSFP...

As for Haze, it has some great weapons from what I've seen so far. The Blacksaw is a really sweet looking long-gun, the knife work looks excellent, (silent one hit kills, nice) and the explosions in the game look better than in probably any game I've seen. Grenades will be particularly fun then. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif

Hey, I haven't played TS2 in years, I can't remember all the damn weapons! Besides, you wouldn't believe how many people I killed with that gun in OSK matches, (or how many times I died with ricochets! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif).

I do think TS2 was the better game though, if that makes you feel any better...

Er, bullets? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

It's the Revolver, looks like a Colt, like in westerns. It's shots can ricochet off walls, so can kill, anyone, even you(!) and you can only hold one at a time too, weirdly enough. Probably my best weapon in TSFP - although that isn't saying all that much!

The revolver's bullets can ricochet off walls? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Man, I don't remember that from TS2. Was it only in TSFP?

Yea I think yes. It was certainly NOT in TS2 and I haven't played TS, and I think he was talking only about the TSFP.

@deded: In fact before you said it was bullets I imagined something like a sci-fi handgun from the TS2. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

That's what I figured, I wasn't sure though. The only other game I know of that has ricocheting revolver bullets is MGS. It was a blast tricking shots off walls with Ocelot in MGO. In certain spots it really came in handy.

Oh, and Rasomaso, every time I scroll past your previous post I have nightmares. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/disagree.gif Please make them go away.

I'm almost positive about the ricochets - you can hear the Peeowwww! when you shoot and the number of times I've killed myself in OSK when I've only been using the Revolver would suggest to me that's the only option...

@Rasomaso - I didn't mean YOU, I meant the player, ie. me! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Yes, the revolver certainly ricochets... and is completely useless in online play in any scenario other than OSK.

I've killed myself more times than I care to divulge from Plasma Autorifle ricochets in OSK. Luckily it was very hard to get Lemming Awards in TSFP, unless you were deliberately set out to commit suicide. Ricochet King was also tremendously difficult to get.

I like the look and name of the Diplomat, but it will never replace double Magsec 4s from PD or double Krugers from TSFP.

Lmao.

I like the Blacksaw best. My fav guns are usually machine guns http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

I also like the diplomat too though I don't like the thing sticking out http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif.

Guess that shows how much OSK I've played on TSFP then. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif I knew I wasn't going mad, thanks. And yeah, it might be pretty useless outside OSK, but inside, woah, what a skill-weapon...

Rasomaso

OSK rules! For me the TS2 was mostly about the OSK. It's a realistic arcade at the same time. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif http://media.ubi.com/us/forum_images/gf-glomp.gif

I know the weapons are there so we get to know how to use each one etc, but wouldn't it be great to have a secondary firing mode for like the rifles, like a grenade launcher. But that might seriously unbalance the game... What do you all think ?

Viper7
04-08-2008, 12:41 AM
Dont know since gotta try them first.

However its likely that the weapons that closely represent P90 are obvious choise for me. 90 bullets per clip and godly firerate whith really nice accuaricy just pwn. (P90 is a submachine gun that is light and packs up hell of a lot firepower, familiar to those who watch stargate or play COD4, and maybe even players of timesplitters)

In one of the timesplitters, dual wielding these weapons was insanely fun.

the ts2 tommy gun was the best. too bad it wasnt in tsfp. hopefully free rad is going to think about it for ts4. please. make it happen. anyway, all the guns in haze looks awesome, anyone knows if there's any secondary functions on them??? havent heard anything yet on this.

deded999
04-10-2008, 11:30 PM
It's a more realistic game, so no secondary functions per se, although obviously the PH weapons do have some duality in use: knife/Nectar knife, grenade/Nectar grenade/mine...

mornelithe
04-11-2008, 06:57 AM
I believe the devs commented on this in some interview somewhere...where they said that they wanted people to use more tactics rather than running around with some end-all be-all weapon.

Secondary functions for weapons always seemed more gimmicky than useful to me, personally http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

And I voted for the Donkey Puncher. Give me a sniper rifle & a shotgun and you have a one happy gamer. But Donkey Puncher got my vote for that great name http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Nectared knife + Lobo. I can't count how many people i've overdosed out of a lucky throw in a head-on confrontation just to finish them off with a headshot when they're going through the initial OD animation. For Mantel, either the sniper rifle or the B72, although Melee Blasts kick ***.
