View Full Version : [HOW-TO] Reset weapons, stats and storymode!

Hey guys,
many requested a possability to reset the stats and weapons, mostly because they were unhappy with some weapon modifications.

Here is a niceŽn quick how-to.

1. Go to AppData/Local/Ubisoft Game Launcher and open the settings.yml with notepad

2. Navigate to line 9 and edit syncsavegames: true to false

3. Save the file and make it read only(!)

4. Rename the savegame_storage folder

5. Launch SC Conviction. The Launcher will recognize the changes and ask if you want to keep the modified file - or download and overwrite it with a savegame file from the Ubi servers - say no - keep your modified file, of course.

6. Enjoy Conviction again http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Great guide!

For the not-so-computer savvy you might want to add that the 'AppData' folder is located within "Computer -> Local Disk (C: ) -> Users -> 'Username' -> AppData" AND that it's a hidden folder.

I will do this ASAP as i istall the game.
Getting really tired of the attachments. This time, I wont buy anything just ammo upgrades and grip attachments. No sights!!!

IT DOESNT WORK!!! HELP

PROBLEM- its done already! defaultly, there is the "true" phrase.

3. Save the file and make it read only(!)

4. Rename the savegame_storage folder
---i rename this to "saNOOBvegameNOOB_storNOOBage" is it good?

5. Launch SC Conviction. The Launcher will recognize the changes and ask if you want to keep the modified file - or download and overwrite it with a savegame file from the Ubi servers - say no - keep your modified file, of course. It asks nothing just launches the game as normal also with my stats!

Ouuuch!! Big bummer, you have to set it from true to false, of course, so he does not sync the safegame files with the ubi server...

Deeply sorry for the hickup...
