Hi all – new EndWar player here!
Just working my way through the WW3 SP campaign but flummoxed as how you actually meant to win it…
OK I get you can conquer territories or go after capitals, but I’ve been winning stuff on the campaign map and after every turn it’s the same “We did well/badly on the home front, we kicked butt/lost in Europe” (playing as JSF).
So given every turn seems to be two steps forward – two steps back (ie even if you keep winning battles one after the other on the home front, the AI will still conquer your territory aboard or vice versa) how the bejabbers do you actually gain a decisive edge to win WW3?
2nd Q – anyone got any tips for attacking in Siege? I tried one turn going straight for Paris – won the Conquest, Assault stages, then found in Siege my progress was blocked over the bridges by roadblocks that seemed impervious to art/tank fire. I finally managed to squeeze some tanks/APCs round them, only to find the timer had ran down, and the enemy had bloody hordes of reserves to throw my way.
Whats the secret then of getting to the critical link fast and taking it? Am I missing something?
