View Full Version : MULTIPLAYER PROBLEMS!!!

There are two multiplayer problems with FarCry. The first one is the fact I can't log on to ubi.com. I created an account and everything is fine with that. All my firewall setttings are off. It just sits there with that connecting phase. The other problem is when I try to get on a server from x-fire. I click on the server I want to join and the game starts up like it should but then it says invalid CD key or CD key already in use. I read the section with all that stuff about the CD key. I haven't even got on a server yet so I don't even see how my CD key even gets on server. I need help! I have all the updates for FarCry. This happened with the non-updated version aswell. Please help! I really don't want to go out and buy anything else.

Could you try to make the answer simple? I am not the best with computers.

Dont be so impatient http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif
1) Cant log into ubi - You need to download and install patches 1.3, 1.31 and 1.33 in that order Patches can be found here >>> http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/452106891/m/6141024544
2) If it says CD key in use its usually because you have tried to connect to a server that is playing a map you dont have... Download map packs from www.farcry-maps.com (http://www.farcry-maps.com)
Hope this helps http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

What firewall/antivirus are you using?
I know you said you shut it down but a few Firewall/Antivirus programs that have problems with Farcry need to be removed from the system (or parts of them).

I have all the updates that you listed. I installed them from http://farcry.filefront.com/file/Far_Cry_Patch_Pack;54337. I am not using an anti-virus programe atm and I just have windows firwall from sp2.

Are you using a router?
Did you buy the game new or used?
