My Saitek X45 is unusable with Hawx. The plane is constantly banking to the right with full right rudders and and pitch, even though everything is calibrated properly in the system control panel. When I try to assign movements, Hawx recognizes the negative X-axis but not the positive one; same with pitch.
I'm using Vista 64 with updated drivers from Saitek's web site. Any info about how to fix this would be greatly appreciated! This should not be this difficult ...

Did you try XP Compatibility mode? Might try that.

hey i have the same joy stick as you and os. but it works for me. but i had to go into the option/controls/joystick/custom and then set my stick to what i want in game.

then after that click apply and your done. since it looks like you did not do that yet. since you have to. this game is poorly done when it was released.

ubi needs to beta test it more before releasing it. something that has been told in ubi forums for the last 3 yrs now!!

so far they do not listen to there paying customers only there stock holder.

scavenger, interesting that it works for you....
problem is, I can't assign left turn in the custom assignment area, or pitch up; the movement is just not registered. BUT: i don't have the patch b/c I downloaded the game from Steam. Maybe that's where the problem is...

uhm that could be. i know in the demo i had to go to controls every time i started it so my joy stick would work.

and you have the right driver installed? i had to use the driver that had the windows driver all ready. since i plug my x45 in before i even did the driver for it, the x45.

since there is 2 driver to pick from. maybe you got the wrong 1? or do like i did. well you would have to uninstall the x45 drivers 1st.

then plug the x45 in and let the windows install a driver for it. then after that go to saitek and down load the driver that say you have the window driver all ready so you click that 1. and install it and go threw that. then see if it lets you pick?

let me know

Problem solved: I rolled back the drivers to the original Microsoft ones, and that did the trick. Seems like the Saitek drivers don't work with Hawx.

Actually the newest saitek drivers work just fine, the conflict is in hawx itself in the configuration menu.

To get the 45 to work properly without the banking I had to set custom controls but don't set them in the alternate column set them in the primary column and everything after that worked great.
