Really silly question (damage effects - are there any?)

Hey all.

After playing forever on silent hunter 2 till I upgraded to XP last year I have now decided to get Silent Hunter 4. My question is this, in the 2nd game you didnt have (as far as i can remember) any visible damage to your sub after it was damaged but not destroyed. In Silent Hunter 4 do you have damage effects like bits falling off, holes in the side etc?

yeah you do. even underwater you can peek a boo inside the sub and wonder why it is not sinking.

Yup,
I just RTB'd with a huge hole in my S18 on the starboard side, just aft of the bridge. I could see the waves passing by in it. LOL I could even dive to periwinkle depth but wouldn't chance any deeper.

YES! The damage effects are great.

For example I was seeing visible holes after shooting a merchant with my deck gun. It was pretty cool.

Check out some of the pictures on this site, they show the damage off nicely.
