i have a problem, after you get to the spider island, you have to clear up some orcs, thent he dragon appears and you clear up some more orcs, then you get to a "cavern" with a door and a guard comes from the inside and opens it, then i am guessing you are supposed to go inside, but i cannot get pass the log that is on the ground before the door. I cannot talk to the guard, or push Leanna towards him to move the game forward. I've restarted a new game about 3 times now and gotten to that point and it always does that
if ive missed a post where it was explained im sorry, but if anyone could help id appreciate it, thx.

I do not remember any log blocking this particular entrance - however I think that it went like this: the guard coming out, Leanna talking with the guard (praising your deeds) and then Leanna going inside. I followed her, she jumped in and then down and after I jumped down after her, the new area (part of chapter) loaded. I might still have a savegame around this place, I'll check it.

So it was as I thought. There is a "log" in front of the entrance, but buried deep in the sand, you do not even stumble over it. The dialogue between Leanna and the guard ends with the guard saying something like "As you wish. The blessings of &lt;The One Whose Name I Cannot Spell&gt; be with you.", Leanna going in and you follow.

My guess is that since the game is very heavily events-driven (scripted), you cannot go in not because of the log, but because of the dialogue between Leanna and the guard is not over yet.

If you are interested, download my savegame (http://karel.studnet.sk/mm-032.zip) (international retail DVD version patched to 1.02) from this place and look whether you get stuck like you do with your own game. I guess you won't like my skill tree, I am providing it just for testing purposes - if you can go underground with my save and cannot with yours, something is really wrong and you should ask developers to fix the save for you.

(If you have hard time fighting these few Orcs by the campfire - I play at hardcore mode - use the charm spell and let them eliminate each other, a few fireballs will kill the last one standing, they are quite resistant to fire, but only quite.)

i apologize for the spoiler
i didnt mean that the log was blocking me, i just used it as a point of reference as to where im being blocked, i get an invisible wall right about where the log is, and leanna does not want to talk to the guard for some reason

as far as where i am, its on the island right after you take the boat from stonehelm(i think), its the expedition set forth by menalag, you get ot the island, have to clear some orcs in some ruined buildings, then go into tunnels to open the portcullis, then the dragon( or whatever they called it) comes out, you have to clear a couple more orcs standing around a camp fire(you can make a wall fall on them) then leanna brings you to a door buried in sand, a guard comes out, and thats where it all stops

If you wish, you can upload your savegame from before this place so I can see whether I get stuck too. In case of different behaviour of our saves, I think you can try e-mailing your save to jroby(at)arkane-studios.com, it might help them to prevent the problem from occuring in future patches and also "force Leanna to speak with the guard", progress in the game past this spot and send the later savegame back to you. I cannot promise anything, but I have already seen one of the devs offering this kind of help numerous times, on this forum and elsewhere.

sorry i did not post before, i havent had much time to play the game in the last week or 2. i did try your save and it is not working either, i get stuck at the same place. ill try to find the correct save and post it.
