Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forums and am eagerly awaiting the release of this game http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

Posting this topic just to see if there is anything known about (a) what weapons are available, and do both sides get their own specific set and (b) when playing as the rebels do you only fight against standard HAZE troopers or are there varied types of Matel troops.

Its probably too early to know such specific things but just wanted to check does anyone here know.

Btw, great to see such an active forum even before the games been released http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Not too early to know by any means. All the info you're looking for has been common knowledge for a while. Just head over to any major gaming site like Gamespot or IGN and read up on Haze and look at the vids and screenshots

If you search the last few pages there is a specific Weapons thread, although it probably hasn't been updated recently. Yes, both sides have specific sets, although they may be quite similar, ie. same weapon types, but different weapons, like an M16 and an AK for example.

There's definitely knife, pistol(s), assault rifles, shotguns, flamethrowers, rocket launchers, miniguns, grenades. There maybe others in there, but if that seems a little 'bland', (I'd prefer old-school http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif), FRD have already said that they wanted to go with a reasonably traditional weapon set, partially reflecting the near-modern day setting, but also because Nectar and it's uses is definetly to be considered one of Haze' primary weapon systems.

As for the various types of Haze trooper, there are at least four types, and shots of them are available both in the images threads here and elsewhere.

Check the Haze Fan-Art thread above here to see two of them in one of my signatures, 3rd picture.

Yeah, i'm pretty sure just about every question anyone has wanted to know about Haze has been answered (other than a release date for the Beta mmmmm beta...mmmmm). FRD has been really really good about responding to our queries. So, peruse the threads in the forum, and you'll most likely find out everything you want to know. Thanks to FRD for keeping us so in the loop!

thanks deded, just saw them there. they look pretty cool wonder what they can do..

Must say that i'm lovin the design/imagery of this game. hopefully it will play as good as it looks http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Great to see the developers communicate with the community so much...compared to those RB6V fools who don't let on anything http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif

That's why FRD rules.
