I've got my mouse on the "add to cart" button..

there are some things that make me.. reconsider.. buying it now..
i read the following on a lot of different forums (including HERE)

-a lot of people are complaining about the multiplayer and coop to not work.

-starforce seems to screw up with the cd/dvd drives and can even damage the computer >.<
some people also say it should be considered as a malware and be illegal o_O (wtf)

-the demo crashed a lot on me (i've got all my drivers up to date) i've got a radeon 9600xt and gpu recover seems to be working.. a lot.. >.< (i've got some crashes and gpu recover sometimes on swat4 too (not demo))
and i still have that bad memory about how pandora tomorrow's demo worked fine and then the final game would'nt work at all at that time..(well it does NOW)

-some people say the game is not finished and need patches because it crash on some levels or stuff like that :/

so? what should i do? are all this true or should i click on "add to cart" in amazon.fr
(also.. i dont want the game in french.. does that french dvd contain english too? or do i need to buy it on amazon.uk or something? translations always suks :/ )

<span class="ev_code_BLUE">There are some bugs on certain things but they arent all that bad.. I wouldnt go so far as to call the game 'unfinished'</span>

<span class="ev_code_BLUE"> For me the game has run absolutely flawlessly from the solo play to the coop to the versus.. however thats just me and its up to you to buy it or not.. I would recommend it as its a really fun game but its your choice..

Also I doubt that the French version has english.. try amazon.com</span>

- SvM works for most, Coop doesnt (we are waiting for a patch) but IF it works and there is no latency it's great.

- If you have a fairly new DVD-drive (3 years old will be OK I think) you wont have trouble with SF. It only checks background processes when starting the game. Then it shuts down.

- If there is a patch for Coop, the game is finished. Not now IMO. But you can have a great time with Single Player and SvM.

- I think France has got translations, so try the English Amazon.

Havnt heard ANY say verses dosent work, but Co-Op dose have a few problems, but when you do get in game and stay in game, its an awsome game. Single player is what you expect from a Splinter Cell game, and anything else done by Clancy, imho nearly perfect if only sudden, as it sort of drops you into the game.

As SakenX said, if your dvd drive is not super old,your fine. Iv never heard it harming the computer, just not installing/starting the game. But Im sure thats the person computers fault, not the game.

The demo crashed on me a few times to, but I ran the full game with no problems at all (well, except im a bit qiuck to knife http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif)

IMO, co-op is the only thing that needs fixing, but even that runs for me most of the time.

thanks guys, i just need to check if the french dvd got english language too and i buy it (i think i saw somwhere that it does have english on it..)
