is this possible to do? I'd like them to fight it out, but it seems I have to script their flight paths to the smallest detail
I can't just set one as the other's target and let them go at it. Wish I could. Any ideas?

You should be able to do it if one or both of the planes is an Arado. It will attack like a fighter.

Good to know
But the Arado is a floatplane, a flying boat is a much different beastie

perhaps having them cross paths at different points, sicne in reality i believe there would be a bit of manuvering, breaking off, and charging in again. Such fights happened quite abit wiht B-17s and Mavis's wiht varied results.
Yer gonnna probably have to experiment a bit and run a few tests to get the timeing right.
D@mn timing, is whats got me stalled on my VVS project in misn 6...gotta get some timing right.
Dunno about actual seaplanes fihgting each ohter but im fairly sure it happened.

I'd put my bet on the Emily to win.

Not sure if you can get a/c categorised as 'bombers' to do it. I tried to make the Blenheim I act as a fighter and it steadfastly refused http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif.
Cheers!

it's all cool as long as both flying boats die http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Emily is stupid. Catalina wins NP. In a cat-fight, always bet on the one with more curves.
Sorry, that was a really sexist statement, I feel horrible now.

You need a bit of fidling in the FMB, but it should be possible. I have had bombers attacking each other that way. They just need a lot of waypoints fairly close to each other.
