Help? Pc Chaos Theory running really slow for no reason...

Aiiight,
Installed Chaos Theory on my pc, patched it with autoupdater, but when i play the game, it just runs ridiculously slowly.
My system most certainly cannot be the problem, as it worked fine on my old system, and this one is much better -

AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core 3800+ 2.0 Ghz processor
1GB RAM
AGP Radeon 9600xt
300GB HD (232 GB free)

Could anyone suggest anything which would help me out?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The AMD Athlon 64 Dual is the cause(I have one too).

If its not versus... well than I don't know.
