Doscala Restaurant better than Calypso Casino?

I have found that Doscala is a much better map to play Attack and Defend.

WHY DOES EVERYONE ALWAYS PLAY IN THE CASINO???

I really don't get it.

Is it because you don't know the map?

Or is it because you think their might not be a package because there is!

If it wasn't for MR MAGOO I would be just like all those about to post that the casino is the only map to really play that on.

It's not true! If you see me online "TeamXI" and I am hosting a Ranked Attack and Defend match on Doscala Restaurant you should really join for a round or two... Really.

It's a fairly small map but just remember that you can't score until under 30 seconds and the match kicks a ton of ***.

Trying to get the package out of the kitchen really sucks and playing on the defending team is the way to go!

Cheers I hope this opens up some people to something other than the Casino.

p.s. I might post one on Team Sharpshooter in the Vault too. There are a couple new maps that kick the **** out of the Vault too. For instance... Red Lotus.

Doscala is tolerable on attack and defend, but in general it's not that great due to it's limitations. 2 ways out of the area: front street or the back alley. Even though there are a few ways out of the restaurant, there are 2 avenues to get *away* from it. That makes the map pretty useless in general IMO. There should've been roof access on the restaurant, some sort of sewer tunnels to get out, and a door to the other road. THEN it would be a good map. As it is, it's just too limited to give you options, so there isn't much replay value to the map for any gametype. Preferably, there should've been a 3rd building across the street from the main entrance too that could be used, with another spawn point.
This map and red lotus are just kind of flawed.

Personally, I'm just fond of the casino level. It's my favorite level in the game, online and off.

I have found that it is not limited in the ways of extracting the package. what is limiting is the fact that no one will try. People look at Doscala with an uneasy eye. It is a small map which makes teamwork the only way to win. Thank you for replying and damn I can't wait for Vegas 2 to hit the 360... it's now 4:00 am E.S.T. and I don't have to work tomorrow. Time to sneak up on some people and shoot them silently in the back of the head.

Part of the issue there is that so few people actually use smoke and flashbangs in this game. Smoke is very effective on this map, especially if a couple of people are chunking them out while others get out.
Too many explosives, not enough tool use. Take out the frags and WP's and gameplay on this maps changes--as it does on the other maps.

you don't see respawns on Search & Destroy in COD4. it still amazes me when i play and find out people still don't know their way around the other maps because all they play is on Calypso or one of the other lame *** maps all day. god you people are pathetic.

This is very true! Really the reason behind posting the original thread was to hopefully get people interested in trying trying a new map. I'm not a fan of frags either and the only time I do play with them is if it's a group of my good friends and we are playing a player match.

Right!! All these people have to do is try it a couple times and some of the maps become second nature. Especially the restaurant. It's such a simple map.

Ive always thought Doscala to be a great map. its easily one of the best maps in the game

I don't see the point of playing any game type on just one map. Seems pretty ******ed to me.

when the game first came out all I did was play A&D on all the maps with Respawns turned off because that's how REAL players play the game.

This is true! I haven't tried pulling an A&D on any of the maps. I will try it out and see how far I get. Sounds like a much better game playing player matches otherwise it would just be a pain.
