I'm a big fan, I have 10th edition on my comp. And I also have the gameboy advanced version in my gameboy. But I don't know if you are working on, or even thinking about making one for the nintendo DS.

There are several reasons why I would like to see a Chessmaster game on the Nintendo DS. One would be the use of the touch screen to move the pieces. Other reasons would be that it can process much faster than the advanced version. Which would mean that I could play against a reasonable opponent while waiting for a movie to start in a movie theater.

Or maybe I'm just ranting because I want an upgrade for my portable chessmaster, and I think the DS would be the perfect way to do it.

I don't own a DS but i must admit that the touch sensitive screen would be perfect for chessmaster. Good idea

I've been asking for a version that works on my Pocket PC. I wasn't aware there was a CM for GBA??? That might work for my son! I have some online shopping to do...

There's a Java MIDP version of Chessmaster, which might run on a Pocket PC PDA (provided it supports MIDP of course).

It at least runs nicely on my Nokia 6630 (Symbian OS, Series 60).

I'm iffy on the strength of a java chessplayer, sounds week to me. It also sounds like a lot of research just to figure out if it would work. Let alone the fact that I don't have a pocket pc.

But if what nintendo says about the DS is true. (they say that it is basically a Nintendo 64) Then a chessmaster game on the DS would be about as strong as Virtual Chess 64. And that game can more than hold its own against me. If it means anything, I'm a USCF 1600 rated player.

While waiting for the plane, bus, the grass to grow (pick your poison), it works for me.

Here's info about the game http://www.gameloft.com/product.php?product=28&product_name=Chessmaster%AE
