I am stuck in a corridor that has 2 saw blades, one at either end of the corridor. I run along the wall and reach a rope half way down the corridor, jump to the rope on the other side of the wall and try and swing along the wall and then wall run to the end of the corridor, missing the saw blade to reach the end. However, i can not make it past the saw blade or fall short. Is this the right thing to do or am i missing something? Please help

I believe it is only a timing problem for you.
The game allows you to begin wall running at any time; so you may be releasing hold of the rope too soon. Hold onto the rope until you are almost all the way forward and then release the rope. You must time your release properly to avoid the saw blade; but with enough health you may often just get nicked by the saw blade and lose some health if you touch the saw blade and make it to the next walkway.
