It's not a very good poll... This question needs at least a few more options.

I'll vote for the option. But I also need the demo to see how UE3 runs on my PC.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

necrohun, yyour choise in the poll is "b", than.
it's exactly what u think - u want this game but not sure u should buy it. in your case - cuz u r not sure how the UE3 will run.
no matter what your reasons are, u need a demo.

thanks for voting http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Oh, sorry, you guys are wright. My mistake. I didn't pay enough attention while reading.

And yeah, the word "second" is missing from my previous post. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Sorry 'bout that one too.

But there could be a fifth option:
- I only need the demo to test my PC for UE3. I don't care about the game.
I'm sure many people will only download the demo beacuse of this reason. RoboBlitz was ok but this game will be real test. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif A test, I hope my PC will pass. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

let us all cross fingers in faith...

however things are looking dim in the demo department...
i think UBI is really making sure that vegas' port isn't ported so bad like SCDA. thus they are working hard to make sure it runs smoothly and i think this will result with a delayed product and a much delayed demo!

at a certain point the demo development and the final product development probably got seperated and both need optimisation to run well.
we all know why it's important to make the final version run well, but for ubi it's REALLY important to make the demo run smooth to make sure players have a good impression with the PC demo.
this is probably why the demo is stalling and i think it's bad news for PC gamers.
if everything went smoothly and the porting proccess was doing well, we would have seen a demo by now...
i really hope that the demo delay wont affect the final product delay. i hope i am right when i think that optimising the demo is seperated from optimising the final product and the final one is complete and only the demo isn't "there" yet.
though i didnt here that vegas for the PC gone gold... so me sad much..

I definitely need a demo after LD. I actually tried that demo, but gave the devs the benefit of the doubt and hoped the finished product would be better. If Vegas plays like LD did (ie run + gun, way too fast with no real tactics) then I won't touch it.

No demo = no purchase for me.

Demo and if I like it but there is not SADS included at relase also = no purchase for me on principle as a result of Lockdown and GRAW. I won't purchase another game from UBI that doesn't have stand alone dedicated servers at release. I might purchase it once the sads files are released but that will also depend on the community interest in the game at that point. If it's completely gone then I won't bother purchasing until it's in the bargin bin.

The RvS demo instantly locked me into buying the game. I played that MP demo for hundreds of hours.

It does worry me though that there hasn't been ANY PC media at all.......I smell delay mates..... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif
