Multiplayer Level Reset Due To Change of Gamertag Xbox 360

Any ideas on who I can contact about this, I was on level 22 and I changed my gamertag name and now my profile has returned to level 1.

Hours of multiplayer down the tube. Please tell me that this can be rectified by Support??
