Obviously a clean install was done of Far Cry but it seems the unistall process did not remove the previous patch.... I am SOOOOOOOOOO sick of this f'ing doody!!!!!

I had to do this today cause i messed up my hdr settings... i first went the restore point before patch 1.3 yep it sets a restore point....good thing. I went back to 1.2. I checked it and it was version 1.2. Then i went to the add or remove file in the control panel and removed far cry... completly including saved games. Then a did a search of my c drive and deleted all the files associated with far cry.... after that i defragged my hard drive and restarted my pc . Then I installed far cry all over again. to version 1.0, then i downloaded the patch 1.3 over 1.0 and now everything is perfect, and hdr for 6800 cards makes a difference in eye candy and smoothness. try this it will work for you.
