Lack of Multiplayer Players/Games?

Normally the only chance I get to play FOW online is later in the evening. Most of the time when I get on there is a general lack of players and games. But today I popped in several hours earlier and it was still empty.

Is the game being adbandoned by casual players who are frustrated with the gameplay as is without the holy grail (patch)?

Well, they did say:
Exact size and release date of the patch is currently unknown. I will inform you as soon as it will be available. about the beta.

So I guess we just have to sit back and wait.

Do you know what closed means? Not public and that means they don't have to tell you they are testing it. Skaels words in patch #1 topic has nothing to do with the closed beta testing, in which everyone here can participate.
The closed betatesting with public people has no announced date. If you would be so friendly to read what people say before calling them liars.

And btw, for people with short memory. When Skael was posting his statemant about closed beta, there was no word about that you can take part in it. A few days later he announced a closed beta in which everyone can take part. For this statement he said clearly that there is no exact date of release.

Sorry I guess maybe they need to make some real announcements that make sense in ENGLISH. I really think if there is a "Closed Beta" and a "Public Closed Beta" it should have been announceted like that, as it stands we got some poorly writen 1 line post in the middle of a 20 page thread which says something about having beta testing the end of last week and then the next week a thread pops up with sign ups for patch testing.

Poor communication aside, I still think people are abandoning the game because of it's buggyness.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

You got that right bard. I have given up playing this game because of the severe lag that I experience with multiplayer. I never play single player so I dont know if the lag is the same as multiplayer. I think this game is having a premature death because of these severe problems.

Well I put it down to the fact that myself + two vent partners nuke the c**p out of every opponent we face. Never lost @ 3vs3 or 2vs2 squads on workshop. Especially fun watching all the loosers leave before end time. Those that stay until the end and are mature towards their defeat (as we would be) are the sort of people we would like to challenge.

It can be an open beta and they don't have to tell you, that isn't the point. Closed means they select people, they may or may not take volunteers but it is up to them to decide how many and on their terms, open means people can choose if they want to join usually just by downloading it. But closed beta merely means they decide, they can do whatever with the information just as in open beta but usually in open betas the information is either implied or you are informed with the receiving of the file usually by download... end of story.

Anyway, I don't mind losing when I play, what mods will be played- any?

Absolutely right, I just devided closed Beta in an internal closed Beta testing. And thats what some people mixed up in here.
